God Bless Our Baby Boy

Our Sawyer Little was baptized Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Highland Park United Methodist Church during the 9:30 am service by Senior Pastor Paul Rasmussen. It was a very low key, but exceptional day.  Poor, lucky second baby.

Pre-service selfie.  Daddy was parking the car in the drizzle.

Thank you John Weber for the covert photography

Always has his eyes on his sister.

Keys to My Heart

We took our first trip as a family of four to the Florida Keys over Memorial Day week.  We were so happy to have some really good people to help us fill the house!  Aunt Say, Uncle B, Jennie and Mr. Dude made it so much more fun!  The Keys are where Hook spent many a Summer vacation fishing with his dad.  It was "their deal", so it's pretty cool to continue this tradition. All in all it was a great time!  Not a lot of sleep for mom and dad, but I'm gathering this is just par for the course on family trips (note I didn't use the word "vacation").  Up with the sun!!!

Learning the ropes
We happened upon the week of the big worm hatch.
The Tarpon were in a feeding frenzy for days!

Uncle B went for an unexpected swim. Luckily there was another boat close by given the Hammerhead population.

The guys went 10-10 on their outing, the Bridge was also 10-10.

This was the view the guys had Tarpon fishing Bahia Honda

These little gals were eyeing each other.

As if Un B wasn't already the coolest...he actually swam with dolphins!
Cayman was glued!

What a cool non-profit organization.  Dolphin Research Center {Marathon, FL}

Finding shade

This was mine and Hook's view the evening of our fishing adventure.  We jumped one Tarpon.
Guess they were full of worms... Not so lucky this night, but I could have stayed out there all night.

We spent an afternoon showing Sayward and Bryant around Key West.
The last time we were there was May of 2011 and spent much of our time
calling our friends and family to let them know we were expecting our first.

Post-lunch at Hog's Breath Saloon {Key West, FL}

We are very lucky to have gotten to know Dianne and Marlin Scott.
I can't imagine anyone knows the keys better than they do.  Think
these two were a little smitten over each other.

Cayman had a ball!  Although, Marlin had second thoughts on teaching her how to shift.
Needless to say, he didn't get to Captain much on the bridge after this.

Sawyer enjoyed the sunset boat ride and those toes....FIRST boat ride!

Tarpon was happy, happy to see us!
Wonder where he got that name?  Hmmmm?

May Day, May Day!

May is always such a busy month!  Lots of birthdays, Mother's Day, graduations, end of school, Memorial Day, Hook's annual Vegas work trip and usually a Spring fever vacay squeezed in there somewhere.  We'll get to that in the next post, but here are some things that happened this month....

These two got a month older, grew cuter and fell in love even more.
All dressed up and nowhere to go...but, who cares.

Itty hands.

Post Boulevardier Mother's Day brunch.

So fly.

Annual visit to see Dr. Hedrick.  She's weird like mommy and enjoys dental visits.

We had a unseasonably cool month, so lots of outdoor grilling and a few visits to Truck Yard.

This guy turned 5 months.  Lots of firsts!

Pop Pop looking good!

Someone found his toes!!!
