3.5.15  ...and what kid doesn't want a little snow during their birthday sleep!?!  About 4 inches!

3.5.15  Insert another special little birthday.  Hook's Goddaughter, Nicholette Marie Weber turned 1!  Lots of cabin fever guests braved the snow-melted roads to celebrate with Nicholette, her parents and grandparents at Benihana

These two were partying fools!  Look out Benihana!

It's a Sheriff Callie shin-dig!  Oh yeh, remember that snow?  Well, it went away for a day!  We always think there is no way last year's party can be beat, but somehow, thanks to all the wonderful party guests, they always do.  Cayman and Sawyer too, had a yipee-I-o-ka-yay-yee-haw time!

First destination birthday party for a Harmeling kid. The LOT, a kid friendly restaurant in East Dallas, near White Rock Lake.

I know Adriane, I can't help myself...have to have a few decorations and favors.  I had nothing to do with that sun though.

February 2015 - A Month of Cousins & Cronies

February turned out to be a time for family, a time for love of course and a time for friends.  Twas a fun short month!  Now time for birthdays!

2.7.15  The boy can climb!
 Game Day visits SMU!

2.15.15  Cayman and Sawyer with cousins Reed and Rowan in Dallas.  Nice weather and White Rock Lake trails.

The boys.  That Reed loves him some baby Sawyer and we love that.

The girls were super excited to meet Dallas Mounted Patrol!

a Father, son classic.

Relazing on a pile of Uncle Stu after a fun morning at the lake.

2.18.15  First Ash Wednesday at HPUMC with Hendrix (Davis)

2.19.15  A quick visit at Daddy's new office.

Cousins Chappell and Cayman falling back in love. It's been waayyyyy too long!

We finally got to meet new baby cousin Tom!
Still missing one, but we'll take all that we can get (in the Las Colinas Blue Fish Parking lot no less)

2.23.15  Chaaaze!

2.21.15  First soccer "game".
2.25.15  The kids were super excited to see Grandma too!

Three "Blues" in a day.  Not too shabby Daddy and Cousin Geoff!
Since Grandma was in place, Mommy & Daddy headed off to our destinations with a lot more ease of mind.  Despite the snow and ice, Mommy made it to Mexico to celebrate a big birthday year with her college friends and Daddy made it to the Dominican Republic for some fishing with his cousin Geoff.

2.27.15  From Dallas de-icing to Playa Mujeres blue waters...I'll take it!

Some of us made it!  Even Mini Me.

Cindy, Mindy, Me, Chare, Kristie

The group is complete by day 2!  Me, Kristie, Cindy, Chare, Betsy, Mindy, Glenda...I love you all dearly and thank God for our friendship of 21+ years!  Happy circa 40th girls!!!

We adopted a cute, cute couple...since it was us and all couples, ha!  Next stop, Traverse City, MI!

Soaking up the last few rays before heading back to snowy Dallas.

It was a wonderful trip, but I had this face to get back to!
{need more food face}
January/February CATCH-UP:
- Became obsessed with calling the grandparents, very appropriately and formally, "Grandmother" and "Grandfather".  Where do kids come up with this stuff?
- By mid January, began coming up with a whole slew of "K" names for everyone, including your parents, friends, imaginary friends and stuffed animals.  Eg. Kona, Karilla, Kayl, KoKo, Sandy, Kodyalla,... (well, "K" for the the most part)
- Changed your mind on your birthday theme from "Princess Mermaid Party" to "Sheriff Callie"...time to scramble Mom!
- Come February, you obsessively hate clothing tags, love all things "ocean" and can name everything from a Puffer Fish to a Narwhal Whale, Barbie pretend play,
- Big Girl Panties at night!!!!

- Conquered walking.  Went from just a few steps right before his birthday to pretty much 100% on his feet in just a couple weeks.
- 1/12/15 ONE YEAR STATS:  21#10oz (60%), 31.5"tall (95+%), Head 18 1/2"(75%)
- FAVORITE THINGS:  walking, remote control,  mommy's phone, toilet bowl, dog bowl, climbing steps and stools, faucets, reachable drawers, bath and electronics...boys.
- By end of January...first little tantrum...less interested in your bottle and more into playing...took a swing at me and thought it was hilarious and testing me little by little to see just what you can get away with...toddlerisms...miss my baby boy already.
- By early February, you can stand to walk without pulling up on something.
- Mid-February, first coloring, sleeping a little later, pointing and grunting, words appropriately, although, not all understandable: "bubbles", "woof woof", "bye bye", "night night", "hellooooo", "thank you", "I love you",..., feeding self with spoon, hilariously laughing at own tootles.

Tootle loo, see you in a month or two!

January...Then Later {2015}

Missed one.  My beautiful Mom and I at the SMUvs.USF game on New Year's Eve.  We were excited to finally get my parents to the "New Moody"

Following Sawyer's 1st birthday party, everyone parted ways on January 2nd.  Daddy and Mr. Brooks headed off to Panama for a little fishing, PopPop headed to S. LA for a little duck hunting, so the kids, myself and Mom {Grams} left Dallas for Fayetteville, AR.  It was quite cold and even saw a couple snow sprinkles, but we made it out to visit a few folks at least.
Daddy's Panama trip in a nutshell: (a) began with this view  (b) caught one of these (c) Brooks and Captain Coffrin pre-inland winds (d) ...and then there were the inland winds...
Gus & PopPop on the marsh - Hackberry, LA

1.5.15  Cayman and Sweet Cousin Molly
Dylan, Sawyer, Brookelyn and Cayman hanging at Mama and Papa G's
After a few days in N. AR, the kids and I headed to Little Rock to meet baby cousin Alexis.  I had the honor of meeting her on day 2, but this would be the first time for the cousins...and how sweet it was.
Right before Sawyer popped her in the face...boys.

Cayman's sweet side came back out with baby Alexis.  She's sort of forgotten this with Sawyer...
Love at first site.
1.11.15  We finally pulled out the Carolina Panther's jacket out for a short stint at least.  That's all we'll say about that.
1.22.15  Quite squeezeable.
1.23.15  Barely back to school and already down for the count with colds.  Got to love Winter.
1.25.15  Perfecting the Frankenstein walk.  A remote always helps.  He's on his feet about 75% of the time.
1.31.15  The Weber family asked us to join them for a "fun"draiser for Community Partners of Dallas.  We were officially part of a Guiness World Record Breaking Red Wagon Parade!  Such a cute, fun little event.
Thanks for capturing this little number!
Cayman's friend and classmate at Wesley Prep, Cortney Fowden, had a "Sleepover" PJ Princess Party.  The big girls painted nails, taught the littles a cute dance number and made the night really easy on the moms.  Such a fun party!
