Pacific Coast to Carribbean Sea - February 2016

2..5.16  Point Lobos State Marine Reserve - there were so many whale sightings this trip.  So wonderful!

We began this month and ended the month with blue water.  Not too shabby eh?  The Carolina Panthers disappointed us and maybe 5 other fans at the Superbowl this year, but at least we got to see John and Jen and some beautiful scenery in the interim.

2.6.16  Jen and I

So ethereal.

Jen, John, Hook and I at Spanish Bay.  All this and they purchased a new home in Charlotte.  What a day!

Bagpipes on the 18th Hole at Spanish Bay  (Pebble Beach)
Sunset at Spanish Bay
I'm not really allowed to talk about this...

Through this slot in this piece of paper was how we got to enjoy our halftime performance.  I'm thinking you all may have had a better view on your big screens...

Still winning.

Thanks again Grams and PopPop for meeting us in McAlister, OK for a drop-off and pick-up.  The kids had a ball in Arkansas!

Ranch dressing...enough said.

I made HBO!  Thanks Chad, I never would have known.  Pretty sure I was praying here. (SMU vs. Gonzaga)

First family drawing.  Oh my.  I could have died.  I love this so much.

Off to the Dominican Republic!

Los Lagos 33

Minitas Beach

The common areas in most of the homes are open air and the bedrooms have AC.

2.21.16  You would hardly know he was coughing, snotting and running fever most of the trip....trooper.

2.21.16  Happy Birthday treasures collected for PopPop!!!

Love him and that cake.

Sawyer's first fish (Bar Jack) on Contango. Great Blue Marlin bait.

He couldn't bare to look at it, ha!

Hendrix's first fish (Bonita) as well and saltwater to boot!

"This is what ya call fishing."

What a trio!

No words.

We were so happy the Johnson-Davis family came to play!  To hell with you Zika virus!

She never meets a stranger.  In a few more years, I'm sure daddy will put a halt to her boat hopping.

Sawyer copying Cesar.

They come by it naturally.

Passing along my shelling expertise.

By mid-week, I resorted to Google image for a bit of staff language barrier.  Thank God for the internet...and bacon.

5-5 on Blue Marlin, including a Triple Header.

Cayman's 5th Birthday Party - What better place to mermaid than the beach of course?

Thank you Vilma Nunez for coordinating desserts!

Happy 5th Birthday Party Mrs. Cayman.

The party people.

Casa de Campo 2016!  'Til next time!

These guys fished hard!  Triple blue marlin hook-up = chaos!

Blackfin TUNA!

Despite the language barrier, Dorka and Cesar were such wonderful company and a blessing to have around the house all week!  The kids took quite a liking.  If you have been around Sawyer lately, most likely he's offered you a "machuka" (aka. fist bump)

Yep, pretty much sums it up...rough week in paradise.  When can we go back for a redo?
